David completed the Award Winning Film "DANCIN ' - IT'S ON!" in Florida. He Directs, Produces, Wrote, and Stars in. David co-stars in two films TEDDY BEAR and DRAGON WOLF. TEDDY BEAR Won the 2012 SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL, 2012 FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL, and many others. For excellence in film and TV David Winters has 26 Award nominations, and Won 15 times. The awards are The Peabody Award, Paris Film Festival, Christopher Award, 3 World Television Awards, Bangkok Film Festival, Houston Film Festival, 6 Emmy nominations, etc. He has worked with Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand, Paul Newman, Diana Ross, Josh Brolin, Cher, Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra, Ann Margret, Kirk Douglas, David Carradine, Pamela Anderson, John Wayne, Bob Hope, Raquel Welch, Lucille Ball, Bobby Darin, and The Rolling Stones, to name a few. It stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jessica Biel, John Cleese, and Gary Oldman and has grossed over $ 60 million. He has produced and directed over 80 features and over 200 television shows and TV movies that include: “ONCE UPON A WHEEL” starring Paul Newman “DOCTOR JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE” starring Kirk Douglas “RAQUEL” starring Raquel Welch “THE LONDON BRIDGE SPECIAL” starring Tom Jones “THE ANN-MARGRET SHOW” starring Ann-Margret, “ROLLING ON THE RIVER” starring Kenny Rogers David choreographed the famous Barbra Streisand film “A STAR IS BORN”, 5 films with Ann-Margret and 4 films with Elvis Presley. He and Elvis were very close friends. His 1st of 6 Emmy nominations was for "Movin' with Nancy" starring Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and David himself. Because of his nomination they created an Emmy for Choreography which didn't exist before. David feels this is one of his greatest achievements, getting recognition for dance and other dancers on TV. David's first Directing job was on "THE MONKEES" TV series. This series won the Emmy for 2 years in a row. David created, directed, Produced, and staged “DIANA ROSS WORLD TOUR” ending with a command performance for President Ronald Reagan at NYC’s Metropolitan Opera House, and 2 “DIANA ROSS” TV Specials where Michael Jackson and he became good friends. He produced and directed the film “THRASHIN”. He wanted to cast an unknown at the time, Johnny Depp, as the lead, but the investors told David that “This kid will never make it”. So he cast Josh Brolin in the part. Josh was nominated with Sean Penn for the Academy Award last year for his performance in “MILK” and is today a Major Star. The Red Hot Chili Peppers appear live in the film. “THRASHIN” is considered the favorite cult film for skateboarders. David Produced, Directed, Financed, and Distributed 49 films in the next 8 years. His Video and Theatrical Distribution Company released 150 films in 6 years in the USA. David bought Handmade Films, an English film Production / Distribution Company and listed it in 1999 on the U.K. Stock Exchange as Equator Films PLC. Handmade was created by George Harrison of The Beatles fame. The company boasts an Award Winning library of over 100 films, with stars Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, Sean Penn, Denzel Washington, Madonna, Jodie Foster, Micheal Caine, Michelle Pfeiffer, etc.. David directed and produced “Welcome 2 Ibiza” a comedy adventure starring Gary Busey ( Gary was nominated for the Academy Award for best actor for “The Buddy Holly Story” ). David won the Best Picture audience award at the Bangkok Film Festival. He Produced his Epic Adventure film “THE KING MAKER" and sold it to SONY for the USA.
