I'm Valdis Putnins, a 38-year old self-taught still-photographer from Riga, Latvia, with about 12 years of photographing experience. As a minimalist by nature, I have made Black&White photography my favorite way of portrating the world around me, often hi-lighting the contrasts of things and always doing it from the odd angle. I capture the motive in my own unique way, defying the borders of conventionalism to take Black&White photography to the next level.
