Funky-j is from South of France. Musician, she descovered dance at 10 years-old . Attract by Hip Hop and Tap Dance she took a lot of class and workshops. Pationate Dancer, And diligent, she decides when she was 15 to turn to Locking. For that purpose, she leaves repeatedly to Los Angeles, cradle of this dance, where she took private lessons and did training with the founders and the pioneers of this dance such as Shabba-Doo, Richie Rich, Og skeeter rabbit.... Because of this course, she learnt the real history, the origin and the terminology of this dance. Funky-j arrive to Paris in 2012. Besides Locking and Waacking, she diversifies and learnt other dancecs, such as House Dance, Hip Hop , Popping by means of international training, and the Juste debout School professional cursus in Paris. First Professor for « New School » association in south of France, she also has the opportunity to give workshop in France and abroad : Paris, Vietnam, Walles, Switzerland, Irlande, Russia, USA, Japan, ... She is in particular a locking teacher in the professional formation : Dave Scott Dance School, as well as in open classes for the Juste Debout School. Furthermore, she participated and won a lot of competitions in Asia, Europe and in USA. Funky-J qualifies herself Four Times For the Juste Debout finale in Bercy, and went to the finale in 2014 . She also organises the first Locking camp in France : Lock is not a joke and bring as a teachers the biggest locking legends. She is the French representing of the world-while movement Locking4life and is trying to bring back locking in the front of the scene with a new school influences.
